Electronic case tracking

What is Case Tracking?

Case Tracking allows you to follow a case by registering your email address and/or mobile phone number. To sign up,  you need to visit the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria daily law list website

As of 9 June 2016, accused persons in criminal matter who have been charged by Victoria Police, or have provided an email address or mobile phone number to a court staff member, will automatically receive updated hearing details via SMS or email, without the need to sign up through the website.

If hearing details change on the case you are tracking, an email or SMS text message will be sent to you with the new hearing details. Hearing details are updated each night.

The details you will receive in the email or SMS message are the same as the details published on the electronic daily law list.

As of 9 June 2016, parties will also receive a reminder SMS or email 48 hours prior to the hearing. If hearing details change on the case you are tracking, an email or SMS text message will be sent to you with the new hearing details. Hearing details are updated each night.

The details you will receive in the email or SMS message are the same as the details published on the electronic daily law list.
