AVL information - FAQs

From 12 September 2016, legislative changes provide for the default position that all accused will appear before the Court by way of AVL [s42JA(1)], unless an order is made under s42L(1) or if Accused is required to appear physically before the Court.

These FAQs contain procedural information on how to:

  • apply for an accused to appear in person;
  • book an AVL hearing; and
  • book a client conference (jabber guest link).
It also includes information on the technology used including data usage and rates.
